Hocus Pocus 2 Movie Review

After re-watching Part 1, I got to watch Hocus Pocus 2 on Disney Plus.

The sequel takes place 29 years later after the first one, the Sanderson sisters are back, new characters being introduced and also returning is Billy Butcherson, a former love interest of Winifred.

I enjoyed this movie, it was fun/entertaining and great musical sequence.

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sisters, the three of them did an excellent performances, also Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson and the whole new cast did great.

I give this movie an A.

The movie is a fun Halloween movie.

Thor: Love And Thunder Movie Review by Angel

via: Marvel

Last Saturday, I saw Thor: Love and Thunder in theaters; I enjoyed this movie, it was fun, entertaining, hilarious and emotional.

Seeing Thor’s journey moving forward after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it was great to see Jane Foster back who is now the Mighty Thor, along with Korg and Valkyrie, also there’s a lot of surprise appearances and more.

His first time in the MCU: Christian Bale plays the villain Gorr the God Butcher, his performance was brilliant.

My rating for this movie is 10/10

Disney’s Pinocchio Live Action Remake by Chris M

As a boy growing up, I never read the book, The Adventures Of Pinocchio, until probably my early days in High School. I only watched Disney’s Pinocchio, which I find to not only be more kid-friendly than the book, but also way better. I mean, I didn’t even see much footage from the 2021 Italian live-action version.

Now, here I am at 30 years old and Disney’s doing a live-action remake of Pinocchio starring Tom Hanks as Pinocchio’s creator Geppetto, which is alright with me due to Hank’s ability to play characters who have a warm kindness to them, like his portrayal of Forrest Gump and my icon Mister Rogers.

Whenever I hear there’s live-action/CG movies based on past projects, I worry about these films getting “The Uncanny Valley Effect”, in which they go for a different or photorealistic look for the CG characters, like in Alvin and the Chipmunks. But here’s your first look at Pinocchio himself in two images…

Tom Hanks as Geppetto

Also included is Cynthia Ervio as The Blue Fairy

Comparable to the 2021 Italian movie and Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming animated version, Disney’s Pinocchio, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis, surprisingly looks accurate to the original animated film. Tom Hanks is said to be “unrecognizable” as Geppetto and Cynthia Ervio, the actress-singer from period film Harriet, sure looks stunning in that BTS image.

Now that I’ve seen photos of the live-action Disney film, it seems they’re going in the right direction in terms of each character’s look. Now I’m waiting to see what Jiminy Cricket and Honest John will look like, but I’m hoping they’ll look the same as the animated original.

What’s your opinion on this latest remake? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow Movie Review

undefined

From the beginning; we got to see Natasha Romanoff’s journey in Iron Man 2 to Avengers: Endgame, and also learn a bit of her history in the first Avengers movie.

In her first solo movie of Phase 4: we will finally learn what Natasha’s been doing during the events of Captain America: Civil War and leading up to Infinity War and Endgame

I got to see the movie in theaters and I really enjoyed the movie: it’s action-packed, fun and thrilling.

Great cinematography, the music and more. excellent performances by Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Rachel Weisz, also O-T Fagbenle, Ray Winstone, Olga Kurylenko and William Hurt did great.

I give this movie an A+ and 10/10

This is Scarlett Johansson’s last movie with Marvel. I know that the multiverse is gonna be a big part of the MCU. Who knows, she will return or not…but the character: Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow lives on.

Zendaya

My favorite TV actress is Zendaya. She starred in the Disney show “Shake It Up” which was about two friends Rocky Blue, and CeCe Jones who were enrolled in a dance academy. She portrayed the character Rocky in that show. It ran from 2010 to 2013. She also played the role of K.C. Cooper in the Disney show “K.C. Undercover”. That show ran from 2015 to 2018. Zendaya was in a TV movie on Disney Channel called “Zapped”. Her film roles include “The Greatest Showman”, “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, and upcoming film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” which is set to be released in December of this year.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. This game takes place shortly after the events of its prequel, Epic Mickey. Unlike Epic Mickey, this game features co-op action where player 1 plays as Mickey Mouse and player 2 plays as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

In this game, Mickey returns to Wasteland (a realm where forgotten toons reside) only to find it has become inert (due to the damage caused by the quake) as well as finding that the Mad Doctor has turned over a new leaf (which is in fact an act of deception for a much grander, evil scheme). As such, both Mickey and Oswald work together to save Wasteland and Stop the Mad Doctor. The game has two endings (the game’s ending  as well as the fate of the Mad Doctor depends on your actions in the game).

The main protagonists in this game are Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Ortensia and Gus the Gremlin. The main antagonists in this game are the Mad Doctor and Prescott the Gremlin.

The multiple versions of Pete we see in this game are Big Bad Pete, Pete Pan (Adventureland version of Pete), Petetronic (Tomorrowland version of Pete) and Small Pete (It’s A Small World version of Pete).

In conclusion, I found this game to be both magically heartwarming and spiritually, wonderfully amazing. Truly, this is a one of a kind Disney game that has touched and forever will touch the hearts of children throughout the ages.

The Nightmare before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge (Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. This game was first released on October 21, 2004. This game is a direct sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas movie.

In this game, Jack Skellington leaves Halloween Town again to seek new ideas and discoveries to improve on Halloween. Before leaving, Doctor Finkelstein gives Jack his latest creation: the “Soul Rubber” as a farewell gift.

In his absence, Oogie Boogie’s minions (Lock, Shock and Barrel) sew Oogie Boogie back together who in turn takes over Halloween Town, brainwashes Doctor Finkelstein, imprisons 5 of the 7 holiday leaders and attempts to take his revenge on both Santa Claus and Jack Skellington in order to ultimately become the 7 Holiday’s King.

When Jack Skellington returns to Halloween Town on December 24, he must maneuver through Oogie’s traps, battle past Oogie’s army of skeletons and ghosts, rescue Oogie’s prisoners and confront Oogie’s Minions (Lock, Shock and Barrel), Oogie’s Shadow and Oogie Boogie himself.

The 7 holidays in this game are Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Easter and Christmas.

In conclusion, I found this game to be a celebratory accomplishment to multiple, major, big-time holidays as well as combining the fear with the cheer.

The Muppet Christmas Carol (Movie Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review The Muppet Christmas Carol. This movie was first released on December 11, 1992.

The cast of characters are Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge,

Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit,

Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit,

The Great Gonzo as Charles Dickens,

Rizzo the Rat as Himself,

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker as Charity Collectors,

Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig’

Sam Eagle as Schoolmaster,

Statler and Waldorf as Jacob and Robert Marley.

This movie features a muppet-version of the Christmas Carol that is filled with both songs and humor (most of this movie’s humor centers around Gonzo and Rizzo).

In conclusion, I found this movie to be hilariously rich in the fictional culture that is the Christmas Carol (especially when The Great Gonzo stars as the author of the Christmas Carol himself).

My Reaction to Spider-Man coming back to the MCU

Image result for spider-man coming back to the mcu

I’m very happy that both Marvel Studios and Sony are reteaming up for the third MCU Spider-Man film and Tom Holland returning as Peter Parker/Spider-Man

After watching Far From Home, the cliffhanger is a game changer…it’s gonna be a new chapter for Peter and the characters in the MCU and other films

Tom Holland did a great performance as Peter in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Tom’s talented.

Myself and others are looking forward to Tom Holland’s upcoming films like The Current War, Spies in Disguise, Third MCU Spider-Man film, Onward, Chaos Walking and more
