X-Men(Anime Mini-Series)(Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review the anime mini-series X-Men. This series was first released in 2011 and is made up of 12 episodes in total.

The locations in this series are the X-Mansion as well as locations in Japan which consist of the Tohoku Region, the headquarters of the U-Men and the Sasaki Institute (a Mutant Academy in Japan).

The main protagonists in this series are Scott Summers aka Cyclops (mutant power: Optic Energy Blasts), Logan aka Wolverine (mutant powers: Heightened Senses, Accelerated Healing & Adamantium Claws/Skeleton), Ororo Munroe aka Storm (mutant power: Manipulation of the Earth’s Weather), Hank McCoy aka Beast (mutant powers: Heightened senses & SuperHuman Strength/Agility), Emma Frost aka White Queen (mutant powers: Telepathic abilities as well as the ability to transform her physical self into solid diamond thereby making herself both immune to any and all psionic abilities as well as render herself indestructible), Hisako Ichiki aka Armor (mutant power: the ability to create/generate a Psionic Exoskeleton Body-Armor around herself thereby granting her SuperHuman Strength, Reflexes, Stamina, Endurance, Agility, Dexterity & Durability) and Charles Xavier aka Professor X (mutant power: Telepath).

The main antagonists in this series are the U-Men (an organization comprised entirely of psychotic mercenaries whose goal is to capture mutants thus the U-men then in turn dissect them in order to harvest the organs of said mutants thus the U-Men then in turn graft the mutant’s organs onto themselves thereby bypassing the evolutionary process of the human race) as well as a mutant terrorist group known as the Inner Circle. The 4 mutants that make up  the Inner Circle are Rat (mutant power: the ability to generate metal spikes from any part of his body), Marsh (mutant power: Shape-Shifter), Neuron (mutant power: Sensory Amplification) and MasterMind (mutant powers: Psionic Illusions/Mind Control).

In conclusion, I found that this series showcases the X-men’s struggles taking place in a completely new environment in their quest to accomplish Professor X’s dream in maintaining/preserving a peaceful world where humans & mutants can work and live together in total harmony.

X-Men: Destiny(Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review X-Men: Destiny for the PlayStation 3. Unlike other X-Men related games, you can choose through the main character’s actions if that character will become an X-Man or a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

The story setting is centered throughout San Francisco, California while following the exploits of 1 of 3 new characters specifically created for this game. In this game, you have to choose one of these three new characters as well as 1 of 3 mutant powers for that specifically chosen character.

The three main characters consist of Adrian Luca (Male), Grant Alexander (Male) and Aimi Yoshida (Female). After you’ve chosen this game’s protagonist, you’ll have to choose one of three mutant powers which consist of Energy Projection (Self-Internal Thermal Energy Manipulation thereby resulting in Energy Blasts), Density Control (Self-Body Mass Manipulation thereby resulting in being nearly Invulnerability as well as SuperHuman Strength) and Shadow Matter (Astral Energy Manipulation thereby resulting in the ability to wield to form and wield Invisible Blades as well as Heightened Senses/SuperHuman Speed).

The X-Men in this game consist of Cyclops (Optic Energy Blasts), Emma Frost (Telepathy/Diamond Skin), Nightcrawler (Line-by-Sight Teleportation), IceMan (the Manipulation/Generating of Ice), Colossus (SuperHuman Strength/Bio-Titanium Skin), Gambit (Self-Kinetic Energy Manipulation) and Wolverine (Heightened Senses/Accelerated Healing Factor/Adamantium Claws).

The Brotherhood of Mutants in this game consists of QuickSilver (SuperHuman Speed), Pyro (the Manipulation/Generating of Fire), Mystique (ShapeShifter), Juggernaut (SuperHuman Strength/near Invulnerability/nearly Limitless Stamina) and Magneto (the Manipulation of all Metal Alloys).

In conclusion, this game teaches us that “destiny is never left to chance” and that all decisions and actions in our lives are our choice and our choice alone.

my birthday gift “Logan” trailer an X-men movie

The first trailer of Logan hits the internet, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook with Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen.

Logan film is set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.[3]

Well, this is a cool birthday gift for me of watching this trailer. I heard Patrick Stewart’s Professor X voice was sounding tired and suffering from Alzheimer’s. I also noticed that he is not wearing the suit, like he was in the previous X-Men films, and his wheelchair didn’t appear, neither did the X-Mansion, the Mutants or anything else. My reaction was the question of what happened to the mutants, the mansion, and even Professor X’s old friend Magneto?

From the set photo Charles Xavier is using a regular wheelchair.

For Logan/Wolverine, the details are that he is very old and his healing abilities are slowly fading and there is a new enemy named Nathaniel Essex, the main head of the Essex Corporation.

The action of the footage was very intense, surprising and emotional, and one plot detail is that Logan and Charles Xavier helps a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine {yet to be confirmed “X-23”}

What I like about the trailer, when Logan and Charles have a great chemistry and a bit of a father and son relationship.
I give the trailer a 90% approved, this is going to be a grand finale to see Hugh Jackman’s Logan/Wolverine and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X.
