Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review the videogame version of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King for the PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Xbox.

In this game, the LotR characters you play as are Gandalf the White (Wizard)(Weapons: Staff/Sword-Glamdring the FoeHammer/Magic),

Aragorn (Human)(Weapon: Sword-Anduril the Flame of the West),

Legolas Greenleaf (Elf)(Weapons: Twin Elven Daggers/Bow of the Galadhrim),

Gimli (Dwarf)(Weapon: Double-Headed Axe),

Samwise Gamgee (Hobbit)(Weapon: Westernesse Dagger) and Frodo Baggins (Hobbit)(Weapon: Elvish Blade-Sting).

The game’s storyline begins during the Battle of Helm’s Deep with you playing as Gandalf. Afterwards, the game’s storyline splits into three different paths. The 1st path is The Path of the Wizard where you play as Gandalf, the 2nd path is The Path of the King where you play as Aragorn, Legolas & Gimli and the 3rd path is The Path of the Hobbits where you play as Sam and Frodo.

The levels in The Path of the Wizard are Isengard where you help the Ents defeat Saruman the White, the Top Wall of Minas Tirith where you aid in Gondor’s defense and Minas Tirith’s Courtyard where you hold the line as you usher civilians to safety.

The levels in The Path of the King are The Paths of the Dead which you explore as you seek both the The King of the Dead as well as the Undead Army of Dunharrow, Gondor’s Southern Gate, Pelennor Fields where you aid the Armies of Rohan against the Witch-King of Angmar as well as the Armies of Mordor and Mordor’s Black Gate where you make a final stand against the Dark Forces of Mordor.

The levels in The Path of the Hobbit are Osgiliath where you attempt to escape from Faramir and his Ithilian Rangers, Shelob’s Lair where you try to find and rescue Frodo from Shelob the Ungolian Spider, the Fortress of Cirith Ungol where you try to rescue Frodo and Mount Doom where you must both defeat Gollum as well as destroy the One Ring of Doom.

In conclusion, I found this game to not only follow it’s movie counterpart in perfect sync, but also make the story concept more action-packed/adventurous/mystically dramatic thus in turn making this a perfect game-related choice “For All Free Peoples”.

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review  the 2015 movie Goosebumps. The story setting for this movie takes place in Madison, Delaware. The protagonists in this movie are Dylan Minnette as Zach Cooper, Ryan Lee as Champ, Odeya Rush as Hannah Fairchild (Goosebumps book: The Ghost Next Door) and Jack Black as R.L. Stine (the creator/author of the Goosebumps franchise).

In this movie, Zach and Champ accidentally unleash all of R.L. Stine’s creations from their respective manuscripts and must now work together with both Hannah and R.L. Stine in order to stop R.L. Stine’s fictional creations before they both destroy the town of Madison and unleash their vengeful wrath upon R.L. Stine.

The antagonists in this movie are completely comprised of R.L. Stine’s literary creations. Some of the antagonists are the Zombies (Goosebumps book: Welcome to Dead House), the Mummy (Goosebumps book: The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb), Slappy the Living Dummy (Goosebumps book: Night of the Living Dummy), The Werewolf (classic Goosebumps book: The Werewolf of Fever Swamp), the Killer Bees (Goosebumps book: Why I’m Afraid of Bees), The Royal Executioner (Goosebumps book: A Night in Terror Tower), The Evil Lawn Gnomes (Goosebumps book: Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes), The Abominable Snowman (Goosebumps book: The Abominable Snowman Of Pasadena), The Blob (Goosebumps book: The Blob That Ate Everyone), The Invisible Boy (Goosebumps book: My Best Friend is Invisible), A Vampire Poodle (Goosebumps book: Please Don’t Feed the Vampire) and a Giant Praying Mantis (Goosebumps book: A Shocker on Shock Street).

In conclusion, I found this movie to be very informative in teaching us how powerful, influencing and dangerous our imagination can be if it is abused and/or misused.

Black Beauty

The novel Black Beauty, is without a doubt, one of the best books ever written, in my opinion. In the story, Black Beauty goes through life with a series of owners, some good, others not so much, but he tries to be a hard worker anyway. In the beginning, he is born to Duchess and she begins teaching him to be good and a hard worker.

His first owner is Farmer Grey, who treats him very well. His next master, Squire Gordon, was also kind, but, had to sell Beauty and Ginger because of his wife’s illness. During his time with the squire, he had a stable boy named Joe, who didn’t know how to take care of a horse, and Beauty fell ill as a result.

The Earl and Lady W were Beauty’s next owners and Lady W liked to force the horses to wear a bearing rein, in the name of “high fashion”. Ginger hated wearing it and lashed out at the stable hands. Reuben Smith was the earl’s manager who had a drinking problem and, one night, rode Beauty to a tavern and got drunk, then tried to ride Beauty home with a loose horseshoe, was bucked from the saddle and died of a head injury.

His next owner was Jerry Baker, a cab driver, who took good care of Beauty until, he took a passenger who made him wait in a blizzard and Jerry contracted Bronchitis and was retired by the doctor. Beauty’s next owner put him in a stall with poor lighting and Beauty nearly went blind. The foreman liked to overload Beauty to reduce the number of trips needed. The Carter hates making Beauty carry extra heavy loads and he makes Beauty wear the bearing rein until a women shows him that it’s unnecessary.

Then Farmer Thoroughgood and his grandson, Willie, take ownership of Beauty and care for him. Beauty’s final owners are 3 elderly women named Miss Blomefield, Miss Ellen, Miss Lavinia, who treat him well in his final days. He is recognized by Joe Green, the stable hand, years later.

This book changed the way people treated horses. The book’s release sparked intense outrage and laws were passed to protect horses from cruelty and abuse. The bearing rein was banned from use and people began treating horses better.

Traveling

My name is Keri and I like to travel. There are a lot of things that I like about traveling. I like to see the different lands, also hiking, walking the mountains, or going to the beach. I also like to read books on traveling. Travel books show the different places you can see like the top 10 scenery sites or places to visit. Travel books have a lot of interesting information, but it does depend on the book. They show famous things and landmarks. You can provide feedback when you read travel books to add your own comments. They are very interesting too. I like to sightsee in new places and eat different kinds of ethnic food. I like to look at everything in sight.  You can learn a lot about different places when you go and see them for yourself. Walking, hiking and backpacking are good forms of exercise you can do while traveling.

The different ways you can travel is by boat, plane, walking, hiking and backpacking and by car. When you travel by water you can ride in a boat. When you travel by air you can ride in a plane. Backpacking is great because you have to walk on foot. You can see wildlife, but it depends on where you go.

I like to travel for relaxation and see the scenery and it just depends where l like to travel too. My experience traveling to Flagstaff was very nice and there was good weather. I like to hike and walk the road. It has good scenery. It even hailed when I was up there. It’s was very beautiful up there. It’s very peaceful.

It is very nice when we go too. Flagstaff is about not that far from Phoenix. You can get there by airplane or drive.  It’s probably nice to drive so you can stop in Sedona and get a bit to eat. It is great to be relaxed.  Then in Sedona you can take the back roads to Flagstaff, it doesn’t take long.

In conclusion, you can learn a lot about travel and seeing different places like the mountains and the beach.
