I Like the Holidays by Keri

Christmas shipping deadlines 2020: Last day to mail through USPS, UPS and Fedex before Christmas - ABC11 Raleigh-Durham

I like the holidays. It’s fun with my immediate family just this year because of covid 19. We aren’t having our family over because for safety reasons. My aunt and uncles and my cousins usually come over. This year my aunt came over for a small Thanksgiving. Just the regular stuff like turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry relish, green beans I also cut the parsley beforehand. Dessert is pumpkin pie and maybe pecan pie or apple, don’t know on this year. We usually buy it at Costco like the pies this year.

We like to sit down and talk to one another. Also, we played games in the past but I don’t know yet what my mom has in store for us. We like to drink tea cold.

I have the tree up, me and my dad put it together. We decorate the tree together. The dining room table is my favorite. I like the big center piece it has a candle holder attached. We aren’t decorating outside this year. All of the family waits for presents on Christmas Day

The Nightmare before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge (Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie’s Revenge for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. This game was first released on October 21, 2004. This game is a direct sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas movie.

In this game, Jack Skellington leaves Halloween Town again to seek new ideas and discoveries to improve on Halloween. Before leaving, Doctor Finkelstein gives Jack his latest creation: the “Soul Rubber” as a farewell gift.

In his absence, Oogie Boogie’s minions (Lock, Shock and Barrel) sew Oogie Boogie back together who in turn takes over Halloween Town, brainwashes Doctor Finkelstein, imprisons 5 of the 7 holiday leaders and attempts to take his revenge on both Santa Claus and Jack Skellington in order to ultimately become the 7 Holiday’s King.

When Jack Skellington returns to Halloween Town on December 24, he must maneuver through Oogie’s traps, battle past Oogie’s army of skeletons and ghosts, rescue Oogie’s prisoners and confront Oogie’s Minions (Lock, Shock and Barrel), Oogie’s Shadow and Oogie Boogie himself.

The 7 holidays in this game are Halloween, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Easter and Christmas.

In conclusion, I found this game to be a celebratory accomplishment to multiple, major, big-time holidays as well as combining the fear with the cheer.

Power Rangers: I’m Dreaming of a White Ranger (Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review a Power Ranger Christmas episode: I’m Dreaming of a White Ranger. This is the 16th episode in the 3rd season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as the 2nd Power Rangers Christmas special.

The episode plot is described as follows: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and at the North Pole; Brainwashing children was Lord Zedd’s goal.

His inventions were stirring, all the plans have been made; So Rito and Goldar and the Tengas just played.

While Santa and his helpers are held at their shop, There’s a good chance that Christmas will just go kerplop.

Now the Rangers have been summoned to put a stop to this deed, But have they the power they’ll eventually need?

In short, the Power Rangers have to save Christmas without their powers due to a combination of the North Pole’s unique polarity and a cross-current of holiday magic.

In conclusion, I found this episode to showcase the Christmas spirit both magically and heroically.
