X-Men: Destiny(Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review X-Men: Destiny for the PlayStation 3. Unlike other X-Men related games, you can choose through the main character’s actions if that character will become an X-Man or a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

The story setting is centered throughout San Francisco, California while following the exploits of 1 of 3 new characters specifically created for this game. In this game, you have to choose one of these three new characters as well as 1 of 3 mutant powers for that specifically chosen character.

The three main characters consist of Adrian Luca (Male), Grant Alexander (Male) and Aimi Yoshida (Female). After you’ve chosen this game’s protagonist, you’ll have to choose one of three mutant powers which consist of Energy Projection (Self-Internal Thermal Energy Manipulation thereby resulting in Energy Blasts), Density Control (Self-Body Mass Manipulation thereby resulting in being nearly Invulnerability as well as SuperHuman Strength) and Shadow Matter (Astral Energy Manipulation thereby resulting in the ability to wield to form and wield Invisible Blades as well as Heightened Senses/SuperHuman Speed).

The X-Men in this game consist of Cyclops (Optic Energy Blasts), Emma Frost (Telepathy/Diamond Skin), Nightcrawler (Line-by-Sight Teleportation), IceMan (the Manipulation/Generating of Ice), Colossus (SuperHuman Strength/Bio-Titanium Skin), Gambit (Self-Kinetic Energy Manipulation) and Wolverine (Heightened Senses/Accelerated Healing Factor/Adamantium Claws).

The Brotherhood of Mutants in this game consists of QuickSilver (SuperHuman Speed), Pyro (the Manipulation/Generating of Fire), Mystique (ShapeShifter), Juggernaut (SuperHuman Strength/near Invulnerability/nearly Limitless Stamina) and Magneto (the Manipulation of all Metal Alloys).

In conclusion, this game teaches us that “destiny is never left to chance” and that all decisions and actions in our lives are our choice and our choice alone.
