Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX (Review)

Hello, my name is Charles and I’m here to review Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for the Nintendo Switch.

This game is a remake of both Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team that were released in 2005.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team was originally released for the Nintendo DS and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team was originally released for the GameBoy Advance. In this game, you play as one of 16 different Pokemon. You also team up with another one of these 16 different Pokemon.

In this game, you wake up to find that you’ve mysteriously become a pokemon. Alongside your new friend, you form a rescue team in order to help Pokemon in distress, find out what is causing so many natural disasters and figure out why you,ve become a Pokemon.

The 16 Pokemon protagonist you have a choice of are:

Bulbasaur (The Seed Pokemon) (Grass/Poison type),

Charmander (The Lizard Pokemon) (Fire type),

Chikorita (The Leaf Pokemon) (Grass type),

Cubone (The Lonely Pokemon) (Ground Type),

Cyndaquil (The Fire Mouse Pokemon) (Fire type),

Eevee (The Evolution Pokemon) (Normal type),

Machop (The Superpower Pokemon) (Fighting type),

Meowth (The Scratch Cat Pokemon) (Normal type),

Mudkip (The Mud Fish Pokemon) (Water type),

Pikachu (The Mouse Pokemon) (Electric type),

PsyDuck (The Duck Pokemon) (Water type),

Skitty (The Kitten Pokemon) (Normal type),

Squirtle (The Tiny Turtle Pokémon) (Water type),

Torchic (The Chick Pokemon) (Fire type),

Totodile (The Big Jaw Pokemon) (Water type),

Treecko (The Wood Gecko Pokemon) (Grass type).

In conclusion, I found this game to be an “Evolution”ary blast of “Poke”proportions in the Pokémon franchise.
